Powdered sugar for dusting

Steps (5)

1

Prepare Dough:
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, 1 cup of warm milk, ¼ cup of sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 packet of yeast. Knead until smooth and elastic. Let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

2

Heat Oil:
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

3

Shape Donuts:
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles using a donut cutter or a glass.

4

Fry:
Fry the donuts in the hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

5

Fill and Dust:
Using a piping bag, fill the donuts with jam. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Additional tips

  • Oil Temperature: Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature to avoid greasy donuts.
  • Serve: Best enjoyed fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container for a day or two.
