1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cornflour

1 cup yogurt
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Make Batter: In a bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of cornflour, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Add 1 cup of yogurt and mix well to form a smooth batter. Let it ferment for 4-5 hours.
Prepare Syrup: In a pot, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add a few drops of saffron essence.
Heat Oil: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Pipe Jalebis: Pour the batter into a piping bag and pipe spiral shapes into the hot oil.
Fry Jalebis: Fry until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Soak in Syrup: Soak the fried jalebis in the hot syrup for a few minutes.
Serve: Serve hot or at room temperature.
